After
the owner's of the popular Charlie's Paradise Country Club (also remodeled by Rex Kirby Design) took over Louie's Backyard in 1998 and
RKD started the renovations, Louie's became an even more popular year-round
destination and one of the top three spring-breaker's haunts in North America.
With the expansions (two new bar areas inside and two out) came the need for
an exterior overhaul.
Since Rex Kirby Design had supervised all the interior makeovers, additions
and decor changes for the past several years with good results (dining room
at right), we were the logical choice to continue to build on the synergy of
Louie's Backyard with the exterior renovation and extension as well.
To make a very long story
extremely short, essentially, what we did was bring the party outside, taking
the nondescript and uninspiring exterior at left, add a lot of light and liveliness
and turn it into....
